San Diego–based Custom Cool TV Covers  was launched in 2008 by Tammy Green and Al Maroni, out of necessity. Al decided to put a TV in our backyard when not many people had thought to do that. He took an Indoor TV and mounted it on the side of our house under the eaves. I thought he was nuts at the time. Buying an Outdoor Weather Proof TV  wasn't an option for us as they were the price of New Car! After struggling to keep our "not made for outside TV" protected from the elements (dust, birds, moisture, more birds) Al started covering the TV with Trash Bags. Yuk!!! Not nice looking at all! There were no TV Cover options in stores or on-line at the time. We have a wonderful backyard living space and we wanted a TV Cover that matched. We reached out to a local upholsterer to make us a Cover using Boat Marine Vinyl. What we received was better than we could have expected and the business was born!
